From a small workshop in Nairobi to the hands of women worldwide. This is the Sero story.
Angie grew up watching her grandmother transform raw leather into beautiful bags in their Nairobi home. Those early memories of skilled hands, patient craftsmanship, and the pride of creating something lasting became the foundation of Sero.
After studying fashion design in London and working with luxury houses across Europe, Angie returned to Nairobi with a clear mission: build a luxury brand that celebrates African artisanship and creates meaningful employment for local craftspeople.
"Sero" means "home" in Swahili — a reminder that every bag carries the warmth and soul of the hands that made it.
Every bag supports a skilled craftsperson and their family. We pay fair wages and invest in training the next generation.
We don't follow trends. We create pieces that look as relevant in ten years as they do today.
Ethical sourcing, minimal waste, natural materials. Luxury that respects the planet.
Rooted in Nairobi, reaching the world. African craft with universal appeal.
Our atelier in Westlands, Nairobi is where ideas become reality. It's a space filled with the scent of leather, the rhythm of stitching, and the quiet pride of creation.
We employ 15 full-time artisans, each with specialized skills passed down through generations. From cutting and stitching to finishing and quality control — every step happens under one roof.
Visitors are welcome by appointment. Come see where your bag begins its journey.
